Suggestion: Bookmark Notification on a specific date

What do you guys think, should we move the bookmarks to the new sidebar in v5?

My understanding is that the new Sidebar Menu is a theme option. Admins can choose either Sidebar Menu or the normal Navigation menu.  

You'll need to offer option that can do either, right?

Correct. I have few ideas heavily inspired by ClickUp which also has Favorites/Bookmarks in the sidebar, or at top of the page.
kind of like it until there's too much:D

It's not fair that you get to already develop v5 already 😄

You (or Esther) should release a guide to making your first app on v5.  

I wish I would have time to start already with this;)
It was just a POC to test the new v5 systems to ensure that 3rd parties have what they need and that it works as expected.

I really like the sidebar menu because of the additional space and possibilities. 

How many people here are utilizing the categories?
For v5 I want to get rid of them and have only 2 types, Bookmarks and Pinned Bookmarks.

Pinned one will be always visible in the sidebar menu / bookmarks menu and then there's a link to show all bookmarks.

Bug:

The bookmark link is missing in the gallery

The link should be moved to the other site of the control bar

get_parent_class is used in the code but it's deprecated now..

I'm planing to deprecate the category feature for v5, is anybody using it at all?

I have not used the category option.

This application will NOT be upgraded to v5 and instead I'll have a new application which will provide an importer for the old data.

Yes, the recent version contains already the importer.

Hmm, I didn't get it.

I won't be upgrading for a while, I have several apps, like this, that I "need".
